This site is hosted on Amazon AWS Amplify using the static website generator Hugo with a theme inspired by “bearblog”.

Notes on the Design

Please excuse the somewhat basic appearance. I moved this site from Wordpress.com to Hugo with the “bearblog” theme. I haven’t yet unpacked everything and added my personal touch.

Wordpress offers certain advantages when you have a somewhat complicated site, but it had become too heavy for my modest ambitions. There was something irritating about using it. I will write I have written a post (in French) about the migration which was quite easy overall. I did my best to migrate all the content, but there was some collateral damage.

I don’t know yet what form this site will take. In any case, it already fulfills its primary function: having a place to archive all these posts written over time.

Veuillez excuser l’apparence un peu sommaire. J’ai déménagé ce site hébergé sous Wordpress.com vers Hugo avec le thème “bearblog”. Je n’ai pas encore déballé tous les cartons et ajouté ma touche personnelle.

Wordpress offre certains avantages quand on a un site un peu compliqué mais il était devenu trop lourd pour mes petites ambitions. Il y avait un je-ne-sais-quoi d’irritant à l’usage. Je vais écrire J’ai écrit un billet sur la migration qui a été somme toute facile. J’ai fait mon possible pour migrer tout le contenu mais il y a eu quelques dommages collatéraux.

Je ne sais pas encore quelle forme va prendre ce site. En tout cas, il remplit déjà sa première fonction: avoir un endroit où archiver tous ces billets écrits au fil du temps.
