26 weeks later

A few months ago, I explained a little bit about my forcing function to work on my project Midway: at the start of each week, I have a note where I list the mornings and evenings I can work on this side project with 2-3 goals I want to achieve. Today, I’m starting my 26th week (6 months).

Since then, I have launched Midway, iterated on this MVP, and now I’m working toward making it known (and ranking high enough) to search engines and LLMs of this world. Part of this effort is to increase the « authority » of the domain name where it’s hosted (midway.travel). I’m reaching out to travel blogs and other more established websites in my domain to build backlinks. I got some nice early traction (for example, with Recomendo from Kevin Kelly, Mark Frauenfelder, and Claudia Dawson), but this is a long-term undertaking.
