Midway in the press, and what’s next
It has been three months since I last wrote about Midway. I didn’t ship many user-facing changes, but I kept busy.
Midway in the press
Over the summer, I started contacting travel journalists and writers about Midway.
Two of them covered it (in French):
- Gary Lawrence, from Voyageurs Professionnels, wrote about it in Le Devoir
- Corentin Aubry covered it for a radio station in the south of France
A couple of others wrote about it on their blogs (in English):
- Erin Greenawald mentioned Midway in her post about staying close to friends when you can’t be together
- Riana listed Midway among her recommended tools
Content published
As I mentioned before, being indexed by search engines and AI assistants is important to bring traffic to Midway. To that end, I published several guides on how to use Midway for work retreats, family reunions and trips with friends. I also created pages listing the direct flights shared by two big cities, like this one for Paris and Seoul.
What’s next
I’m still working on bringing in users through organic content. I also have a few small improvements to make, for example in the airport search. The next big step for the product should be support for trains in Europe and translating the app into several languages. Feel free to send me any suggestions.
